Its just a bruise, It will take a couple of weeks, depending on how hard you hit it. Hope this answers your question!

When I was a kid, I smashed a finger. The fingernail fell out after a few days. It didn't look normal for several months.

ooo my friend had that once. it will fall off soon. so wrap you nail and finger together as soon as it starts hanging off your finger. a new nail will start growing again once it falls off. no jokes!
