An ingrown toenail is when the nail starts to grow into the side of the toe. This can be caused by cutting the nail incorrectly.
The appearance doesn't change much although the toe does swell up a bit and may bleed a little bit.What is an ingrown nail?How does it look?
They usually occur at your toenails. Your toe hurts and is red and very annoying . It is so uncomfortable that sometimes you take off your shoes and walk barefoot.
The nail grows into the side of your toe and it pierces a couple of layers of skin and into the sensitive underlying skin. It then gets infection and your body begins to alert you through the pain, and sometimes puss, that you have an infection.
What you have to do is cut the nail deep between the nail and skin. It is very painful to do this. If you have low tolerance for pain. then you may have to see a doctor to numb it for you and remove the ingrown nail.
Bad shoes are the cause of ingrown two nails. Like pointy or tight fitting shoes.
