Initially it did hurt but the pain faded, but about a week ago it began to bleed from the side of my toe nail, it's a slow flow of blood, at first it was dark red (almost brown) blood, but now a week after the initial bleeding began the blood is a brighter red. Any ideas?I jammed my toe nail 3 weeks ago and it bruised but about a week ago it began to bleed and it still is. Help!?
bruising is just accumlation of blood from broken capillaries........the brown blood that you saw was old accumulated blood. The new blood is an attempt to clot........and just keeps getting interrupted.
Just allow your body to take care of itself, as it knows exactly what to do........just leave toe alone, don't push on it or pick at it...........I jammed my toe nail 3 weeks ago and it bruised but about a week ago it began to bleed and it still is. Help!?
My mom works at a nail shop so i know alot of stuff about nails considering i always screw up my toes like that.
Leave it alone and try not to make it bleed or anything and it will heal on its own is whats best. That's what i did and it healed up perfectly.
This happened to me but part of my nail came off so i was little and taped it with clear tape!! LOL!!
