Has anyone used the peti paws nail thing on tv informercials? does it work well?
I have used the dremmel but i can't seem to take off enough. The groomer i took her to left her nails way to long and now the quik has grown very long so i can't dremmel back very far. Any suggestions from anyone

I haven't used it, but I've used a Dremel with a nail file attachment. I'd imagine it would be similar. Some dogs do well with it and some freak out from the noise. As long as your dog's OK with noise it'd be worth a try I think, but if he's afraid of hair clippers, I don't think he'd like the file either.
I ordered one for my dogs and after getting and trying it I sent it back.
My dogs don't scare easy but they were terrified of this thing.
It was very loud.
They were more stressed using this than clipping their nails normally.
I'm not saying it's not a good product and it may work great for some people ... just not me.
that thing scares the bejesus outta me
im a groomer and i wouldnt use it jusst for the sheer fact that you have to stick your dogs nail in a hole and you cant see how much you are taking off
its still possible to quick a dog with a grinder and if your dog has long hair on its feet it can get wrapped up
hey cool!!! i haven't seen that commercial but i just googled it and went to the website. that's awesome, i'm gonna try ordering one, my dog hates i mean HATES having his nails cut and i'm always afraid to do it. i was gonna buy this other electronic nail filer from dr. foster and smith but it's like $50. thx!!!

Yes, I bought one, I works OK. It is kind of loud, so it does make my dog a little more nervous than just regular clippers, but his nails look nice.
The best thing you can buy for nail cutting is a Dremel.
