I have a purple line under my thumb nail where i slamed a draw on it?

I accidently slamed a draw on my thumb at work today and a purple line apeared straight away under my funger nail where the draw hit and it kills when i put preasure on it what is the purple line and what will happenI have a purple line under my thumb nail where i slamed a draw on it?
The purple line is a bruise. It will go away unless it is bad enough that the nail separates from the nail bed. In that case, the nail falls off. Hope that helps.I have a purple line under my thumb nail where i slamed a draw on it?
if its only a line i think it would be fine .. but sometimes in cases like that your name would fall off
