Ive got this terrible habit, when im doing it im usually in a day dream, i only notice when it starts to bleed.
I chew or bite the skin around my nails, usually each side of my thumb, it really hurts after, ive tried plasters, vinegar, and i just can't stop doing it, very much like when people bite there lips as a habit, what could i do, please no smartty assess saying chop fingers off, so not funny.Why do i keep biting the skin between my nails, it really hurts
I have the same habbit and it does really hurt! not to mention that it is so gross! If i were you i would try nail polish remover. it tastes horrible! you will not want to bite them if you put that on it. lemme know if it works!Why do i keep biting the skin between my nails, it really hurts
it's a nervous habit...i was a nail bitter but I successfully stopped for 32 days and the habit was broken...try as hard as you can to stop for about that amount of time. if you do then you should be able to quit indefinitely.studies have shown that it works
ya i know many people do that. just look at ur finger how horrible it is. think about when u r going to get engaged. ur fingers would look horrible. thinking this may keep u away from chewing ur fingers.
Perhaps wearing gloves might be an option.

Are concrete preches for my cockatiel bad for its feet? I know it is good for its nails? wont it cause lesions?
I have always heard that concrete or textured perches are a ';must-have'; for cockatiels because they can keps its nails trimmed. But I recently read an atricle that said that concrete or textured perches can irritate the bird's feet and can cause lesions and other skin problems? is this true?Are concrete preches for my cockatiel bad for its feet? Wood and pumice perches are good for cockatiel's feet. They will exercise them and keep them in good condition. Concrete perches are good for keeping the nails trimmed. Sometimes concrete can irritate the bird's feet. You need to keep an eye on your cockatiel's feet if you use a concrete perch. I have one in some, but not all, of my parakeet and finch cages but I've never noticed any problems due to the perch. Don't use sandpaper perches because they are very hard on a cockatiel's delicate feet and can cause lesion, abrasions, and more. It's a good idea to have perches of different sizes and materials to let your cockatiel exercise all parts of its feet.Are concrete preches for my cockatiel bad for its feet? I consider them ';must haves'; for all of my parrots. I've had most of mine for over 12 years, with absolutely no problems what so ever. I haven't had to clip any nails in 12 years either.
Make sure you get the right size, and make sure it is the highest perch.
If it only has one perch that is concrete, that's good for the toenails. But if they don't have any natural wood perches. To be effective, place a concrete perch near the food/water and get other natural wood perches.

likely a torn and infected cuticle, you really should wash your hands more often. For now cover with a bandage and keep it clean, it will heal.

has she gone to the doctor, that's really not good, the longer she leaves it the worse it's gonna be and spread. Fungus is not a pretty thing, and needs to be taken care of immediately!

like a shimmer peach polish and a nectar love gloss from MAC.

I smoke and I wear clear lip gloss and just a clear top coat. Although I am lucky enough to have naturally white nail tips. French tips look good. But if I did have to choose a colour I'd go dark, like maroon

Blood under the big toe nail? How did you get rid of it., or is it just a matter of time. then how long?
If it's a result of the toe getting smashed and then turing black and blue, it just takes time till the nail grows out. It will be months till the whole nail grows out, but you can't do anything else, so you just have to wait.Blood under the big toe nail? the way i wood always do it, is take a really small drill bit, i mean REALLY small, and just twist it on the nail where the blood is, while your watchin TV or readin. ya dont feel anything, and when the bit gets threw the nail, the blood pressure is released and ur finger/toe wateva feels better
