IPod has a nail through it. Is my health at risk? Please respond quick.?

So I just hammered a nail through my iPod screen.


There is some sort of black hole getting bigger on the iPod and releasing a really wicked bad smell.


And its heating up...really fast.


I just spilt some water on it and it hissed.





I don't know what the hell is in the iPod.





Will it explode anytime soon?


Its been 8 mins.

ok. i have no clue what is causing it, maybe battery acid. but thats beside the point. get a container of some sort, and cover it, probably a Tupperware container much larger that your ipod. leave the room, and if you start demonstrating alarming symptoms, such as vomiting, or trouble breathing, contact poison control.

the components of the ipod are from china (ive accidently opened one once or my friend did) it is likely toxic since there was ink on there...wet ink..it was fuming too..THROW IT AWAY AND GET CHECKED OUT NOW
id get away from it.. changes are.. it POSSIBLY.. NOT LIKELY but it may start on fire... i would go put it in the snow.. if you have snow near you...
