My nail has a crack in it, but it is the part still on skin, will it fuse back together?

it hurts, but i don't want to rip it off, it is the part still on skin...will it grow back together, or will i have to wait till that part grows out enough to clip it?My nail has a crack in it, but it is the part still on skin, will it fuse back together?
No, it won't fuse together. I had this happen not long ago. I went to a nail salon and had it repaired for only $3. It lasted until it grew out enough to clip it.My nail has a crack in it, but it is the part still on skin, will it fuse back together?
Its not going to go back together so you just have to either clip it off or be REALLY careful not to snatch it off.
it will have to grow out, you can use a strengthener or some clear hard polish to hold it till it gets long enough to clip
Don't pull it off. It will hurt like crazy. No, it will not fuse back together. Put a bandaid on it and wait for it to grow and clip it then.
no
you have to wait or have a doctor remove it. It happened to me once on my big toe.

Is it wise to start a nail salon in this economic situation?

First off we are not in an economic depression. We are only in recession. This means with the right decisions of our Government we have the chance to get out of it soon. I estimate 2010 we will be back to normal.

People are still opening their own businesses even today, regardless of what is going on. What you want to do is choose the right location in your area where you will be noticed and easy to get to. Picking the right hot spot in your area is so you can gain high volume customer traffic. Offer something in your salon to potential customers other competitors don't already do. Set your prices a little lower at first with prices are subject to change at any time.

If you have the ability to do so, I don't see why not. Don't be like other people who are paranoid and scared and running. It's the media that is causing all this attention and fear. If it helps I'm opening my own business now and I'm excited about it! Not fearing it! Just have the right plan and a back up plan. For instance, if I don't do well in my business I can always sell it.

Hope I helpedIs it wise to start a nail salon in this economic situation?
I suppose most folk would say, wait for a while

but it really depends on where it would be, and who the customers would be

People always will spend money on necessities and the odd little luxury,as they see it

Also January into February are always a tough months for businesses as people are skint after Christmas

maybe wait a while and watch what is happening in other nail salons around your areaIs it wise to start a nail salon in this economic situation?
Right now? No. Since we are in an economic depression, extravagant luxuries are not affordable for those who wish to go. I suggest waiting for things to pick up. Good luck.
I must admit at the moment i do my own nails as I find nail bars a bit on the expensive side.

For guys, do you prefer it when girls wear nail polish or when they dont?

it doesnt matter ThaT much i mean theres alot more imortant things but i guess i really like french manicure/tips on a girl and maybe just a light shade of nail polish sometimes. something that complements their eyes/hair/clothes something like thatFor guys, do you prefer it when girls wear nail polish or when they dont?
Doesn't really matter, far more important things than nails.

*thinks really hard* nope, don't really find nails particularly attractive either way.For guys, do you prefer it when girls wear nail polish or when they dont?

I have dry cuticles, so i bought some Vitamin E nail conditioner. how do i use it?

and when will i see a difference? this dry winter air is taking a serious toll on my cuticles! so i decided to buy this stuff.. I've been using it a few times a week, and I'm not seeing a difference. and i even followed the directions. please help :o)I have dry cuticles, so i bought some Vitamin E nail conditioner. how do i use it?
it doesnt work..even i tried it...:((

now i use a home remedy. i apply olive oil..it works wonders.I have dry cuticles, so i bought some Vitamin E nail conditioner. how do i use it?
I have the same problem year-round. I'm addicted to using lotion on my cuticles because of it. Instead of a few times a week, use it after every time you wash your hands. I put lotion on like 6 times a day.
You should use it more often, but for instant results, use carmex.

I keep it with me everywhere, and whenever I have frizzy hair or an icky nail, or when my eyebrows get red from tweezing and I have 5 minutes until I go somewhere, I use it, and it works instantly.

    I love it.

Just rub it wherever your issue is, and its fantastic.

Plus its only like, 88 cents, so..get it in the pot tho, its less messy.

But if you still want to use your vitamin e stuff, use it more often, at least twice a day.

(In the morning and at night, or whenever your nails are particularily dry)
apply to the cuticle probubly in a week

What brand of nail polish is the best at not chipping the next day you put it on?

There are many good brands of nail polish. The secret is in the application. You want to start with clean, dry nails. Put on a clear base coat. After this dries, put on your color coat. Make sure you don't have too much nail polish on your brush by swiping it on the side of the container. Try to do the nail in three even strokes...left, right then middle. or conversely if you like. Then after this drys put on another coat of color. There are so many good brands, from Sally Hansen to Christian Dior, it depends on how much you want to spend. After your second coat dries, top it off with a layer of top coat.

Now the challenge is keeping your hands safe so they can completely dry. Keep them still so they wont get dented or smeared. You can fix any mistakes with a cuticle stick and a bit of cotton with nail polish remover on it. Be careful! After they have dried, put on a nice hand moisturizer. Voila! Beautiful nails.

Good Luck. What brand of nail polish is the best at not chipping the next day you put it on?
Express Line- quick drying and strongWhat brand of nail polish is the best at not chipping the next day you put it on?

MAC, Sinful (found at Walgreens), OPI, Hard Candy, Amphigory
OPI, Joan Rivers %26amp; Avon nailpolishes work really well I think for not chipping right away.
well first just put any brand of nail polish on and then put this stuff on your nails called NAIL MAGIC and your nails will be healthier and grow faster and they wont chip!
OPI, but use a base coat and a top coat, the base coat should make it stick and the top coat will protect it.
    Sally Hanson or OPI!

But Loreal Jet Set one is great when ur travelling ..fast drying and less chips....and shiny too..........juz with one coat
    Sally Hanson
Naturistics, Orly, Nyc is pretty good oh and ICE you may not have heard of it.. hope this helps!
    Sally Hansen
NYC. i get it all a pharmacy store (walgreens or CVS or something) for around a dollar or so.
    O.P.I
sally hanson but use 1 coat base coat 2 coats polish and two top coats mine usually last a week on this system
Personally, I've always had good experiences with both OPI and Zoya colors.

Nail polish that is NOT quick-drying will wear better than its 60-second counterparts (has to do with the chemicals in it).

Also, when polishing your nails, wipe them quickly with either nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol right before you polish - this will get rid of any excess oil and will help your polish last longer.

Lastly, use a good top-coat. I like Orly's Won't Chip - smells horrible, but it WORKS!

    Hope that helps.
Kiss ..omg its a really good nail polish
    avon or nyc
Orly - that stuff stays on til you grow it out.
I can wear OPI for days, and I even play the guitar!
Any polish will chip if your nails are not prepared well. Make sure you buff them with a nail buffer first, then base coat.
    Max Factor's nailfinity works. :)
I have tried all kinds and OPI is the best by far. It's a little pricey but its worth the extra money because the polish looks so much better than other brands and lasts almost a week. Also, use a top coat to seal the polish - it will also make your nails really shiny.
wow... so many things wrong about chipping the next day. Try Essie, OPI, Chanel, Dior, anything decent.
